Brandon First is Relocating Our Office!

After more than ten years operating out of the corner office of the Riverbank Discovery Centre, Brandon First will be expanding its footprint with a move to the newly renovated Dome Building as of June 1st, 2018.Brandon First has been steadily outgrowing its current space as the organization continues to expand its operations.“With the growing number of event room nights our office processes, and in particular the increased need for meetings with the event planning community, we knew we were going to need more space,” advises Graham Harvey, Executive Director of Brandon First. “When this opportunity came up, the organizational needs, strategic benefits, location, and historic significance just made it make sense.”

Looking ahead, Brandon First and Brandon Tourism will continue to enjoy the benefits of their long and positive relationship, particularly as Brandon’s new tourism place brand is launched in the coming months. Event recruiting initiatives involving both organizations will continue as Brandon First promotes the community as the best place to hold an event and Brandon Tourism welcomes guests to those events and shares all the great experiences Brandon has to offer.

In Case You Missed It:
Brandon First Sponsored the Chamber of Commerce State of the City Luncheon

Every year Brandon First has had the honor of sponsoring the Chamber Luncheon at which the Mayor delivers his annual State of the City address. Our Executive Director, Graham Harvey, spoke prior to the meal and highlighted the ways in which event tourism is a money making machine, especially for our community. If you would like to watch the full live stream of Graham’s presentation you can see it on our Facebook page here.

In addition to the twonies each attendee recieved to symbolize turning one dollar of investment into event tourism into two, we gave away a great door prize featuring two weekend ticket packages to each of the 2018 Legion Nationals track event, the 2018 Brandon Comic Con and the 2019 Tim Horton’s Brier. Garth from the Shoppers Mall was our lucky winner and it looks like he is excited to experience some of the events Brandon First has been able to bring to our city. Congratulations Garth, and enjoy!
