Brandon First Bids Farewell to Long Time Board Member

After serving on the Brandon First board of directors for five years, dedicating time to our organization as vice chair, chair, and then past-chair, Jason Krieser has chosen to leave Brandon to pursue opportunities in Winnipeg. Jason came to us as a representative of the Keystone Centre, where I’m sure most of you have gotten to know him over his thirty-plus year career there. He will be missed around our board table, and by our entire community. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Brandon First, and for the city itself Jason, and know you are welcome back here at home any time.

Katrina Sigurdson nominated for Women of Distinction Award

One of our amazing board members, Katrina Sigurdson, has been nominated as one of the YWCA 2018 Women of Distinction. As a very involved member of our community through her business, Party Professionals, her board involvement with Brandon First, being a crucial part of the Westman Wedding Expo and many other volunteer engagements, she is so deserving of this nomination. We are proud to say she’s one of our Brandon First family, and wish her the best of luck on this award. For more details on the event, and a full list of nominees click here.

Brandon First Makes Great Impact at 2018 Tete a Tete

Brandon First staff was happy to represent our city at the Tete a Tete tradeshow hosted by the Ottawa-Gatinau chapter of the Canadaian Society of Association Executives at the end of January. We met many event organizers and talked about all the great reasons they should bring their next meeting or convention to Brandon! CSAE is a great organisation for us to be a part of and we look forward to potentially hosting some of their member’s events in the future!
